1) Rosemary.2014, Etching with ink on Arches. Approx. 4”x5”.

2) Rosemary. 2014. Aquatint over etching with ink on Arches. Approx. 4”x5”.

Over the summer, I took a printmaking class at Laney College and got to work in new mediums like etching and aquatint. The first photo is of an etching I did of Rosemary Woodhouse (Mia Farrow) from the 1968 horror film Rosemary’s BabyThe second photo is an aquatint I did on top of my Rosemary etching. The aquatint process helped to add shadow and depth to the original etching.

Printmaking is something that I would love to do more of and in larger scale. I like having the ablility to produce multiple prints from one image.

Stuff from my Senior Seminar art blog.

I made these gif for my Photo II for our first technical assignment. Even though this was just a tech assignment, I definitely want to explore this further.
